TEOTWAWKI
I am a person who has a more negative bent by nature although by the grace of God, He is working on that and I am changing. When you look at the world through rose- colored glasses, you see things in a way that is too optimistic and not real. When you see things through the gray lenses, you miss so many of the wonderful things that are out there because everything looks so dismal.
I read a lot of very interesting things and have a great interest in paranormal things, things on the edge, conspiracy theory, and Biblical end time prophecies. I believe that we are living in very interesting times. One of the people who works with Amy was telling me about a priest that I am sure she fully expected me to have not a clue about who he was. When I told her I was familar with him and she expanded on her interests and discussion of things, she was very surprised that I was knowledgeable about strong spiritual and end depth matters. At a friends neighborhood party, I engaged one of the neighbors in some in depth conversations relating to biblical end time matters and caught her off guard when she found I was extremely well versed and interested in the subject.
I have been very reluctant to express my more 'out there' or 'chariots of the gods' views in my blog for various reasons which I won't go into at the moment. I have decided that I am now going to venture in that direction at times.
TEOTWAWKI is an acronym for 'the end of the world as we know it' and I believe that we, as a country and a world, are going to be seeing some very big changes coming up and I am concerned about them. I want very much for our country to come out of these dreadful economic times and rise once again to a place of greatness. I am not sure that will happen though. In my job, I talk to a lot of people who are struggling to pay their bills and survive. They will call looking for help and they want to meet their obligations but they can't. The choices are between paying a mortgage and feeding their kids or paying their bills. Survival wins.
We are people who are not used to survival. We have had it easy. We have become accustomed to the good life. We have taken things for granted for too long. It has become so easy to just charge it all and not worry about the future. The future is now suddenly knocking at the door and people don't know what to do. It is harvest time and people are not happy with the crops that were sown.
One of my coworkers 24 year old nephew was shot in the head after someone shoved him and he told them to stop. A gun was used in place of a fist and now their is a baby without a daddy, a woman without a husband, a mother without a son because somewhere along the way some asshole punk didn't learn the lesson that murder was wrong. Way too many people get more upset when an animal is mistreated and injured than when a person is hurt, murdered, raped, etc. We have become so calloused, so used to the violence that we don't even give it a second thought anymore. It has to hit us close to home or be something so horrendous to knock us and get our attention.
I don't like the fact that I can turn on the radio and hear lyrics praising violence and treating women like they are nothing more than a body to wham bam get out here bitch and move on to the next one. Evil is a way of life and I am tired of it.
I only know one solution to the problem and it is through a narrow gate but it is an open invitation to all. It requires you give up everything of yourself but in return you are given everything. His name is Jesus.
